The main activity of course is horse riding, and here we have a variety of facilities to offer. Whether you are into dressage or western or just hacking-out, at Somerfield Farm you can find what you are looking for. With riding and caring for horses, there is always something new to learn by sharing a common interest with others.
On-Property
There is a 60mx x 20m all-weather menage, a 20m round yard, a jumps area, a cross-country area, a couple of general exercise areas, and some 3km of on-property trail riding.
Off-Property
Ingersoll Road at the front of the property is a very quiet no-through road about 1.4km long, while at the rear of the property there is access to Woods Road and East Boundary Road which offer another 2.4km of quiet country dirt road.
But the jewel in the crown is without doubt the fact that the property backs onto 25acres of natural bush in the form of Woods Reserve. This is managed by Parks Victoria and has beautiful riding trails winding through the bellbird-filled trees.
It’s a lovely little haven that gives that “could be miles from anywhere” experience on each and every visit.
