Security
Part of the enjoyment factor at Somerfield Farm is the peace of mind that your horse and your gear are quite secure. The front gates are electrically operated. During the day they can be opened by push-button and they automatically close behind you ensuring that no horse has direct access to the external roadway. After hours, the property can only be accessed via the keypad. Each agistee is given a unique PIN accordingly.
Feed Storage
In the hay shed, each agistee has a discrete storage area for hay and/or feed bins. There is one storage area for each paddock. Each area can hold up to 30 bales of hay, depending on how many and how large your feed bins are. Having this much storage available means agistees can get together and buy hay a truckload at a time and so take advantage of bulk pricing and seasonal availability.
Tack Storage
Each agistee has an individual lock-up Tack Room to ensure the security of their personal belongings. Your gear in your space, kept the way you want it - perfect!
Tie-up Area
The Tack Shed is the central hub of Somerfield Farm with plenty of space in the mounting yards and the hot & cold wash areas. In addition to ample headroom and ease of access, there's also tea and coffee facilities plus fridge and microwave.
